EISs stands for Environmental Information Systems. In general we incluse every system containing dat and/or information on the envronmiens an EIS. Most lykely these are accessible through the web, therefore every EIS is referenced by an web address (URL). Can be a collection of webpages (sometimes refered to as (geo)portals)with text, graphics, tables, maps and or access to databases or the like.

In the first workshop an EIS is defined in short as:

An EIS is a group of components that interact to produce  information about the environment.  Components can be maps, data visualisation, clear information

We set an survey to collect all the systems around in Europe to come to a list of EISs for each EU member state showing at least the national environmental portal(s) and the INSPIRE geoportal according to the INSPIRE directive (directive 2007/2/EC  of 14 March 2007).

If you miss EISs or see errors in the list of your country add the correct entry by using the survey.

Go to the survey.
